Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuga has responded to Nigerians who have condemned President Tinubu for taking his yearly leave of absence, first to the UK and now to France.
President Tinubu departed for Paris, France on Friday, October 12, according to Ibrahim Masari, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters. Tinubu had been on vacation in the United Kingdom for two weeks.
The President was heavily criticised for travelling outside the shores of Nigeria to spend his leave.
Responding to such critics, Onanuga wrote;
‘’President Tinubu is on leave for two weeks. He is not restricted to the UK. It is his private time. He can go to anywhere he so desires. He is still observing his leave.”
