Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the former Senate Minority Leader, has stated that the Igbo people have been demanding for years to be treated fairly, on par with other parts of the nation.
This was said by Abaribe on Thursday evening, October 24, in an interview with Arise TV.
‘’Sometimes when I discuss with my friends in this administration, they ask me ‘’You Igbos, what do you want?’. I want to tell everyone what the Igbos want. Fairness and equity which is in the constitution, that is all that we want. Treat us as you are treating everybody else.”
He believed that by only include five South Easters in his cabinet while he chose up to ten from other areas, the Tinubu administration had been unjust to the region.
