NECO announces the results of the 2024 exam for Unity schools.

The Federal Unity Colleges’ JSS1 admissions results for the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) have been made public.

At a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, July 16, the results were revealed by Dr. Yusuf Sununu, the Minister of State for Education. He stated that one contestant had the highest exam score of 203.

Of the 71,291 candidates who registered for the exam, 66,931 took it, according to Sununu, while 4,360 did not show up.

One applicant received the best possible score of 203 out of a possible maximum of 210, while thirteen competitors had the lowest possible score of one.

52 applicants, including two from Lagos State and 50 from Rivers State, engaged in examination malpractice this year, an unprecedented number.

In the exam for the Federal Government Academy (FGA), 2,649 candidates registered, 2,336 individuals showed up for the exam, and 313 candidates did not show up.

“This exam has a maximum score of 180 and a minimum score of five,” he stated.

The minister declared that the standards for choosing eligible applicants to Federal Unity Colleges remained the same.

He states that there are three prerequisites for admittance to Unity schools: thirty percent equality of state, ten percent exigency, and sixty percent merit.

On June 1, 2024, the NCEE was held in Nigeria, the Benin Republic, and Togo.
