An unidentified man, aged fifty-eight, passed away in the Alagbado neighbourhood of Lagos while adhering to a 19-day spiritual fast.
The incident was verified by the Lagos State Police Command, which said that on Monday night, August 19, the man’s younger brother reported his death at the Alagbado Police Division.
The brother of the deceased allegedly stated that his sibling passed away during the 19-day dry fast, according to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokeswoman.
The family has asked to be allowed to remove the body to be buried, and the police have stated that no foul play is suspected.
