A UK boarding school instructor who recorded himself having sex with a teenage student has been permanently barred from the classroom.
Luke Roberts, the 44-year-old instructor, worked at Wexham, Bucks’ independent International School of Creative Arts.
After admitting to two counts of having intercourse with a girl student between the ages of 13 and 17, he was given a ten-month prison sentence.
Police discovered two recordings on his gadgets that featured him acting in a sexually suggestive manner, including having sex with the student.
The Thames Valley Police then took him into custody that same day.
Roberts entered a guilty plea in court and was reported to be regretful. Roberts was not present at the hearing.
David Oatley, the decision-maker, announced that Roberts has been permanently barred from teaching due to his significant sexual misconduct.
The panel concluded that Roberts had violated the public’s expectation that instructors uphold their profession. Additionally, he disregarded the necessity to protect the student’s wellbeing and did not uphold the right limits that belong in a teacher-student relationship.
