The Abia State Police Command has wrapped up its investigation into the 26-year-old Vivian Ocheze Ogbonna’s purported m*rder by her Chinese employer, following her purported rejection of his efforts towards sex.
According to LIB, the deceased was thrown from a crane by the culprit, Mr. Ge Zhen, the operations supervisor of Inner Galaxy, a steel manufacturing firm in the state’s Ukwa West Local Government Area, which led to her death.
In a statement released on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the command’s spokesperson, ASP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the most recent development and stated that the case has been turned over to the Attorney General’s and Commissioner for Justice’s offices for legal prosecution.
“Abia State Police Headquarters received a report on 21/05/2024 of the alleged m*rder of Miss Vivian Ocheze Ogbonna ‘Female’ 26 years old of Umuahala Obuzor Asa in Ukwa West LGA Abia State, by the Operation Supervisor Mr. Ge Zhen ‘male’ 54 years of Inner Galaxy Steel Company, located at Obuzor Asa, Ukwa West LGA Abia state,” the statement read.
“Investigation has been concluded by the command and the matter was handed over to the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Abia State on 25/06/2024 For prosecution in court.”
