Reuters, Jerusalem, October 19 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in the northern Israeli town of Caesarea was targeted by a drone on Saturday, according to his spokesperson, who also stated that the premier was not nearby and that no one was hurt.
The Israeli military had earlier claimed that a drone had struck a structure after being launched from Lebanon. The nature of the building was not readily apparent.
The military reported that it had intercepted two further drones that had entered Israeli land.
The Israeli ambulance service reported no casualties, although police reported hearing explosions near Caesarea, a coastal town where Netanyahu owns a vacation residence.
Hezbollah, a group supported by Iran and based in Lebanon, did not immediately claim responsibility for the drone attack.
