Following a rock burst incident on the Buduburam section of the Accra-Winneba motorway, residents of Kasoa, Ghana, almost liched several Chinese contractors.
According to reports, four persons were killed when the road contractors unexpectedly blasted a stone.
According to the homeowners, contractors typically notify them in advance of such blasting operations so they may evacuate the area.
However, they were given no notice on Monday, October 14, which led to several fatalities.
A video circulated online shows two Chinese nationals being led to the community leader by irate locals. While they were moving, one of the locals struck one of the contractors hard in the head with a stick, knocking off his helmet.
Other locals managed to urge those holding weapons against resorting to violence.Â
