Hulk Hogan says, “That was the beer talking,” in reference to his remarks about body-slamming Kamala Harris and referring to her as a chameleon.

Hulk Hogan, a six-time WWE champion, provoked controversy when he made light of US Vice President Kamala Harris’ race and joked about body-slamming her.

On Monday, August 19, Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, went to an Ohio event to promote his new beer brand. During the event, the former professional wrestler hinted that he would be open to making a move on the Democratic presidential nominee.

“Want me to body-slam Kamala Harris? Want me to drop the leg on Kamala?” asked the audience at the Ohio bar.

Then Hogan questioned Harris about his Indian ancestry. Could Kamala be a chameleon? How old is Kamala, 71 years old? Is she Indian?”

The Democratic nominee for president, Harris, is bi-racial. Her father was born in Jamaica, but her mother is originally from India.

Hogan, however, asserted that the comments did not accurately reflect him and blamed them on the quantity of alcohol he drank at the bar.

“I am going to get heat for that one, brother. That was not me. That was the beers talking.” Hogan said Wednesday, August 21.

The legendary wrestler gave a speech during last month’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee and is a huge fan of Donald Trump, the presidential contestant of Kamala Harris.
