A 40-year-old lady has been detained by the Borno State Police Command on suspicion of hitting her husband with an axe and causing his death.
The incident took place in the Chibok Local Government Area’s Kautikari community.
The arrest was verified by police spokesperson ASP Nahum Daso, who said that Aji, the culprit, was taken into prison after her husband and she got into a fatal fight. According to reports, the incident took place over a domestic argument.
He said;
“Lydia Aji struck her husband on his head with an axe and he d!ed instantly.
“Investigation further revealed that the couple had a misunderstanding over their daughter, Rachael Aji 13, who stole a goat and sold it to an unknown person. The angry father then asked them to leave his house. The case is still under investigation.”
