The Imo state police command has begun the orderly trial of its officers caught on tape receiving bribe from commercial bus drivers in the state.

A video showing one of the patrol officers accepting money from a commercial bus driver made the rounds on social media over the weekend. The spokesperson of the command, ASP Henry Okoye, in a statement released over the weekend, said the state commissioner of police had ordered the arrest of the erring officers.
The command has begun an orderly room trial of the officers implicated in a viral video extorting money in Owerri, according to a statement issued today, October 17, by Okoye. He identified the officers as Sergeant Antony Alozie, Inspector Miller Ibinitta, Inspector Unaka Maxvirgin, and Inspector Ibrahim Nainna.

According to Okoye, the outcomes of the processes would be shared when they are ready.
