The congregation of Living Faith Church, World-wide, aka Winners Chapel International, is illuminated with Heavenly joy, as Bishop David Oyedepo clocks 70 today, September 27th, 2024.
Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, is the Founder and presiding Bishop of Faith Tabernacle, located in Ota, Ogun state, and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel International.
The Winners Chapel International network of churches is established in all states in Nigeria, and across numerous cities in over 85 nations of the world.
The Charismatic leader is also the Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota- Ogun state and Landmark University, Omu Aran- Kwara state.
Dr. David Oyedepo is the President of David Oyedepo Ministries International (Domi Radio, Domi Stream etc.), and the Word Of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI).
The church’s educational network also includes Covenant University Secondary School, Kingdom Heritage Model Schools.
To commemorate this scriptural milestone, Bishop David Oyedepo and the Winners family, throughout last week, took to various locations across Lagos and Ota, spreading the Gospel and inviting people to meet with Jesus in operation “One Week Sacrifice for Souls“.
During this birthday week, everyday has been Thanksgiving and praise to Almighty GOD for HIS Grace which has kept Bishop David Oyedepo actively in the faith, featuring notable personalities and music ministers, including Bishop David Abioye, Bishop Thomas Aremu, Dunsin Oyekan, Tope Alabi, Yinka Alaseyori, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, Pastor Paul Eneche, Mercy Chinwo, Faith Tabernacle Choir, and many others.
In his appreciation speech yesterday Thursday, Bishop Oyedepo encouraged everyone in attendance to engage Thanksgiving and praising GOD as a lifestyle, citing Jesus and Paul, as examples of a lifestyle of praise

Many others are sending their best wishes and testimonies of GOD’S impact on their lives, through the sent man of the commission, Bishop Dr. David Oyedepo, describing him as a Father, Prophet, living legend and GOD’S Servant.
David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo, Nigeria, but a native of Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He was raised in a mixed religious family. His father, Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer while his mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Holy Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (C&S), a branch of the Aladura movement in Nigeria.
He was raised by his grandmother in Osogbo, who introduced him to the virtues of Christian life via early morning prayers which she attended with him.
In the year 1969, (Bishop) David Oyedepo was led to Christ by a foreign missionary to Nigeria, Mrs Betty Lasher (of blessed memory)
David Oyedepo studied architecture at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, and worked briefly with the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin before resigning to concentrate on missionary work.
The young Oyedepo received a Ph.D. in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, US.
According to Bishop David Oyedepo, he received a mandate from GOD through an 18-hour vision in May 1981, to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith.
Bishop David O. Oyedepo received the call into the ministry through a heavenly vision, where he saw a lineup of battered, beaten, tattered, deformed, groaning for escape, he began sobbing with the. In response to his question, ‘but why Lord?’ GOD answered,
“But from the beginning it was not so, and now the hour has come to liberate the whole world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the world of faith and I AM sending you to undertake this task.” Today, he stands as an Apostle of Faith to the nations, the impact of whose ministry has continued to spread across many nations of the world.
September 17, 1983, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of GOD, ordained David and his wife, Florence Abiola Akano (known as Faith Abiola Oyedepo) to become pastors and officially commissioned the new church.
Five years later, David Oyedepo was ordained as Bishop.
He was first recognized in 2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria, later as the richest clergy in the world.
By divine leading, the Living Faith Church, under the Apostolic leadership of Bishop David Oyedepo, is presently constructing the “debt free” Ark Legacy Project, which is scheduled to be completed by November 2025, and will definitely send waves across the world upon completion. it is scheduled to be the biggest Christian worship auditorium in the world.
Today the construction of the historic 100,000-seat capacity stadium-like sanctuary, whose foundation was laid on March 25, 2021, is very much in progress, with GOD’S hand clearly evident in the areas of speed, supplies, etc.
