According to reports, Annie Kilner, the estranged wife of Manchester City defender Kyle Walker, filed for divorce from the football player a few years after they exchanged vows due to the recurring scandals surrounding his infidelity.
After surreptitiously fathering two children with influencer Lauryn Goodman during “brief flings,” Kyle, 34, who married Kilner, 33, in 2021, his childhood sweetheart, has been embroiled in a paternity crisis.
After his first affair, Annie had taken the football player back, but after he had a second affair behind her back with Lauryn, she found it difficult to keep up appearances.
On December 27, while pregnant with her fourth kid with the defender, she received a tragic text message informing her that Lauryn’s second child was her husband’s.
In the message, Lauryn said: “Hey it’s Lauryn. I just wanted to quickly tell you that Kyle is the father of our daughter.”
Annie and Kyle momentarily parted ways shortly after Goodman verified Kinara’s paternity.
According to insiders, the couple, who first connected at school, is finally done, and Annie isn’t holding back as she prepares her attorneys to supposedly fight for half of Kyle’s enormous £27 million wealth. According to reports, Kyle and Annie are no longer on speaking terms, and the vice captain of the England national team has also given his own legal advice.
Annie is thought to have served Kyle with the papers ten days ago, and although though they live in the same house, Kyle has been sleeping apart from his wife for several days.
“Kyle was stunned when he got the papers,” a source told The Sun. They added: “He’s spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps. This doesn’t necessarily mean they will divorce. She wants Kyle to know she’s not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire.”
A source told MailOnline: “She is divorcing Kyle because she just can’t forgive him for what he’s done to her. She can’t get over it. She has tried. Kyle seems to have accepted it’s over. He’s been happier in the last week or so. Like the weight of the world’s been lifted from his shoulders.” Despite the turmoil in his personal life, Walker appears to be keeping them at the back of his mind after he was spotted on a golf course in Cheshire on Tuesday, appearing to not have a care in the world.
Kyle has expressed guilt for hurting Annie as a result of his extramarital affairs in the past. “What I did is terrible, and I accept full responsibility,” he declared. I made a lot of foolish decisions.
According to a source who previously spoke to the Mirror, “Annie and Kyle are looking forward to a resolution of the whole situation and hope that this latest chapter brings them just that.” It follows Kyle’s expulsion before a Royal Court of Justice regarding the two children he and Goodman share.
Our source went on to add: “All they want is to work on their relationship, in private, to see what the future holds for them and their young family but have been unable to with the glare of the media – often led by Lauryn. Kyle has taken responsibility for what he called his ‘idiotic choices’ and will always provide for Lauryn’s children financially.”
