As the date for the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Sports Festoval draws closer, Ogun state is also getting ready as hosts.
A walk around the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta (Venue of the festival) shows different constructions and finishing touches going on.
This Video is where the former training pitch was. The training pitch has now been moved inwards to another location within the stadium complex itself.
This construction looks like a pool is being dug which means this is where the water sport events are going to be held.
This is particularly exciting because after the games, this facility will be used as practice for young people who are looking to train in swimming, diving etc and adds to the public infrastructure of the state and for use of the public.
Nigerians can’t wait though
