Nigerian travel content creator Alma Asinobi has made history as the first person to visit all seven continents using a Nigerian passport.
Her journey, spanning 71 hours, 26 minutes, and 25 seconds, came with challenges, including visa issues, flight delays, and travel restrictions linked to her Nigerian passport.
On her Instagram page on Tuesday, she wrote: “Our Nigerian flag is officially the first and fastest flag to visit all 7 continents! I guess my work here is done. I cannot wait to be homeeeee.”

Asinobi’s accomplishment stands out not only for the record it sets but also for shedding light on the challenges Nigerians encounter when traveling internationally.
“Gosh… Continent 8 (Dreamland) was kind to me. No visas needed, no flight needed, just a bed. To be honest any bed would have been fine. I just needed my swollen feet to not move for a few hours and all I can say is… mission accomplished.
“As I was sleeping I heard ‘this is the final boarding call…’ and I jumped out of bed startled only to realize it was only a dream. That’s not normal,” she added.
While Asinobi did not exceed Johnny Cruz Buckingham’s 64-hour Guinness World Record, her accomplishment is still remarkable.
She is eagerly anticipating her homecoming event on March 30, where she plans to set another record by bringing Nigerians together to sign the flag she took on her journey across the world.
