Nigerian women who are purportedly imprisoned in Libya have begged for assistance.
Many of the ladies were shown in what appeared to be a detention facility in a video that was making the rounds on social media. Some of the women claim that they have spent more than a year in the institution.
In the video, some of them could be seen carrying little children as they pleaded with the Nigerian government to intervene on their behalf and arrange for an escape from the facility. They further claimed that other nationalities had discovered ways to get out of the area, but in order to protect Nigeria’s reputation, they have chosen to maintain their composure and follow the law.
