The much awaited release of Hamster Kombat has left thousands of fans, including Nigerians, feeling deceived and misled, in a shocking turn of events that has rocked the country’s gaming scene.
Nigerians and other players worldwide had been anticipating the launch of the Hamster Kombat coin for months, drawn by the prospect of large cash gains and months of intensive involvement and strategic games. Many had spent endless hours tapping and accruing points in the hopes of becoming wealthy.
The optimistic image presented by the coin’s advocates, however, was not at all representative of the coin’s introduction on Thursday. Users were confronted with severe disappointment as opposed to the life-changing awards that had been promised: the real incentives ranged from a meagre 1 to 4 dollars
It will be interesting to watch how Hamster Kombat handles the mounting dissatisfaction among its user base and rebuilds confidence in the platform as the dust settles and the inquiry into the problem progresses.
An X user going by the handle @Ali89X, for example, wrote:
“Scamster Kombat is now the real name of Hamster Kombat. We will not play Scamster Kombat for season 2. Bye bye Scamster Kombat. Now see your decline…”
Another X user, @ConcellorSunny, expressed frustration, writing:
“After farming Hamster Kombat for months, Hamster Kombat don give me dust. I’m the third guy 😂😂”. Hamster_Kombat #HMSTR
@MattybnksOf: “After all the game and tapping. For 3months @hamster_kombat; you will ask for bread Allah will give you stone.”
Similarly, @Mohsin_71 wrote: “#HamsterKombat Token Distribution: Unfair Distribution 🤪🤯 People wasted 2-3 months to mine #Hamster_Kombat tokens. What did they get? ….. Few pennies? Retweet 🔃 Season 2 = Advance Failure due to bad distribution. People are not happy. You can destroy your whole empire.” hamster @hamster_kombat
Speaking with one of the players, Sam, he told Vanguard, “I expected much more than what I got. I had two million coins and received just $1.46.”
