Joe Ajaero, the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, was recently freed following his visit to the Intelligence Response Team headquarters today, August 29.
In order to respond to enquiries on Ajaero’s purported involvement in financing terrorism, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony, the police invited him to the IRT Headquarters last week.
The NLC president rescheduled for today after declining the invitation. Together with Femi Falana, SAN, Marshal Abubakar, Deji Adeyanju, and other senior NLC officials, he arrived on the scene on Thursday at precisely 10:17 a.m.
The Nigerian Police Force’s Force Intelligence Bureau is known as IRT.
