According to News360 Nigeria, Isaac Bristol, also known as PIDOMNIGERIA, a whistleblower who has exposed corruption cases, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), tweeted the information on his X account.
This comes after Bristol’s bail hearing was rescheduled for September 27, 2024 after it was postponed on September 11, 2024.
Deji Adeyanju, his attorney, had already acknowledged the postponement via a WhatsApp message.
Adeyanju stated, “The protesters were granted bail by the court, but Bristol’s bail application was moved to the 27th of this month.”
Following his police arrest in August 2024, Bristol faced nine charges, including money laundering, cybercrime, terrorism, and tampering with evidence.
The charges stem from his purported whistleblowing actions, in which he allegedly used the X account “@PIDOMNigeria” to reveal purported wrongdoing in the nation.
