Yakubu Yusuf, 28, has been taken into custody by agents of the Lagos State Police Command for damaging the railings of the Third Mainland Bridge.
In a statement released on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that 21 lengthy sections of aluminium railings had been found, and that further criminals who were evading capture were still being sought after.
“Officers of Onikan Division after receiving information of the activities of some vandals who were vandalizing the railings of the bridge by Old School of Nursing inward Third Mainland Bridge, arrested one Yakubu Yusuf ‘m’ aged 28 and twenty-one (21) long pieces of aluminium railings were recovered. The investigation is on to arrest other fleeing suspects,” the PPRO stated.
