Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) were allegedly extorted of over N1 million by Lagos Police officers attached to the Area C command; however, the money was returned.
Oluyemi Fasipe, an X user who first reported the incident, provided an update.
He conveyed his appreciation for the prompt action taken by Lagos State NYSC authorities and Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin to guarantee that justice was done. He did, however, add that they are still awaiting the verdict of the officers’ trial and urged the public to exercise caution as the matter develops.
