An open-ended question was posed to the public alongside photos of Olamide and Phyno, two indigenous Nigerian rappers, on Friday, October 4, 2024, by a user going by the name @TheDamiForeign.
The message said, “Who’s the greatest rapper of all time? Olamide, Phyno.” Soon after, internet users started to comment on it. Some claimed that each act is remarkable and meaningful in its own right. Some used one of the two to set up their tents.
The ‘Do I’ crooner, however, was not amused by the message and quickly voiced his dissatisfaction.
The 37-year-old Penthauze Muzik CEO is currently enjoying the publication of “Full Time Job,” his fifth studio album. Johnny Drille, Fave, Burna Boy, Flavour, and Cheque are all involved in the project.
The project has gone on to occupy the number one slot on the Top Albums Chart of Apple Music Nigeria. Three songs from the album have already been released: “Time of My Life,” the number-one song “Do I,” and a remix of the song starring Burna Boy.
