Rats in need of food are able to crack open the hard coconut shells that fruit vendors store.

After rats chewed through the hard shell of her coconuts to get to the flesh, the fruit vendor is counting her losses.

An X user posted pictures of the partially consumed coconuts online and claimed to be the fruit vendor’s brother.

He wrote, “Studies are needed on the malevolent behavior of rats these days. I received these photos of rats consuming my sister’s coconuts from her fruit stand in Lagos.”
