The scary reasons Christians should never celebrate Halloween.

The origins of Halloween, which is observed on October 31st, can be traced back to the Celts’ yearly celebration of Samhain, which included offerings to their gods.

Halloween gets its name from the fact that it falls on the eve of All Hallows’ Day, a Christian holiday in the West.

The history of Halloween

The Celts used masks and costumes to conceal recognition because they thought that Samhain, the “god of death,” might employ tricks to spread evil spirits to attack mankind.
This concept, which held that spirits might enter the world and that the dead and undead could be separated, was shared by Druids and the occult.

To avoid being recognised, they wore masks and costumes. On All Souls’ Day, individuals in England exchange prayers for departed family members in exchange for pastries.

According to Exodus 20:3. The bible says, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Christians cannot mix Christianity with pagan religions.

Halloween has roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which involved rituals related to the dead and the supernatural. So, participating in these traditions contradicts their faith and values.

The theme of Halloween is mythology; witches, wizards, vampires, ghosts, and zombies are emphasised and exalted.

All of them are connected to occult. The Bible says Christians should “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,” (Ephesians 5:11).

3. The impact of spirituality

Because Halloween celebrates death, darkness, and the occult, some Christians think it can invite negative spiritual forces.

Instead, they ought to concentrate on events and festivities that further their religious beliefs.

Even though Halloween isn’t as common in Nigeria, a lot of event producers might plan costume parties and Halloween celebrations towards the end of October.

Given the aforementioned arguments, this begs the question of whether Christians ought to take part.
