Tinubu approves a minimum wage of ₦70,000, with wage reviews to occur every three years.

Breaking: The national minimum wage law will be reviewed every three years, according to President Bola Tinubu, who also authorised a minimum salary of N70,000 for Nigerian workers.

Additionally, President Tinubu pledged to look for measures to help the subnationals and the private sector pay the minimum wage.

At the second meeting between the parties in seven days, President Tinubu made the announcements during a meeting with the heads of the TUC and NLC on Thursday in Abuja.

The president agreed to utilise his discretionary powers to acquiesce to the requests of university unions seeking unpaid salary for four months, and the leaders of the Labour Party praised President Tinubu for the fatherly gesture.
